Looks like Hulu is getting on board the MCU train!

Announced this morning, an adaptation of the Marvel comic Runaways to the small screen.  Interestingly enough it isn’t coming to Netflix, with whom Marvel already has a handful of MCU shows, but to Hulu instead.  From that I would guess that they’re going for a different tone, probably lighter, than the Netflix MCU shows – which I think is a smart move as this is a show starring children.  For those that don’t know, Runaways is about a group of teenagers who make the unfortunate discovery that their parents are members of an evil syndicate called “The Pride” and decide to band together and fight back.

As for the show itself, it will be led by Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage as showrunners, knows for their work on Gossip Girls.  While we don’t have a debut date yet and there’s no current talk of casting, I for one am pretty excited about this one – I was a huge fan of the comic series.  Count on us here at Geeks of the Round to follow up on this as more information is revealed.  Are you looking forward to this as well?  Let us know in the comments!
