EA continues the show for E3 and here were our thoughts on it:
Knuckles Goldberg: Mass Effect Andromeda looked awesome. We need to see more of this, unfortunately we may not see more until next year as it won’t be out until Q4 2016.
Need for Speed, again, I just can’t get excited for a car racing game. It comes out November 3rd 2015.
Star Wars The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire looked great, except it’s only on PC, got me excited for nothing!
Unravel from Coldwood is a puzzle platformer which was presented by a psychopath who may be a serial killer, or just a guy who was really nervous to be on stage.
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2.
EA Sports showcases some new gameplay including how you can get your face(or other body parts) onto player models in NBA Live 16.
EA Mobile then took the stage to show off the best EA Mobile games you’ll probably never play on the Apple Watch you don’t have.
Pelé was on stage to talk about FIFA 16 in broken English.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was shown off, and it looks ok. The first game handled rough gameplay wise and I hope they worked out the kinks for this one, we’ll find out when it comes out on February 23rd 2016.
NFL Madden 16.
Star Wars Battlefront looked really good and it looks like we won’t have to wait very long to play it as it’s out November 20th 2015.
All in all there were only a few things I really liked at this conference. Star Wars Battlefront looks really fun as did Knights of the Old Republic (even if I don’t play PC games). Mirror’s Edge Catalyst could be good but it could be just as disappointing as the first game, but Mass Effect 4 is going to be epic.
DeAno Jackson: Full disclosure: I’m not a sports fan by any stretch of the imagination. That being the case, the overwhelming majority of this press conference bored the living hell out of me. I was seriously struggling to stay awake! Loved seeing Mass Effect Andromeda right at the beginning of the show, Mirror’s Edge and Star Wars Battlefront were cool, but past that I really didn’t get much out of this one.
This one clearly didn’t do much for us, but for sports/racing fans there was a lot to love. What announcements did you like from EA’s press event? Let us know in the comments!
