That’s right folks. You read the title correctly. We now have the first full official look at Pennywise the Dancing Clown. This is literally the stuff of nightmares. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not usually scared of clowns. I just don’t like them. I think they’re stupid and childish. But this is just too much. I’m probably going to sleep with the lights on tonight. Haha. Now enough of my rambling. Take a gander at the image for yourself.
The image above was released this morning by Entertainment Weekly and us here at Geeks of the Round are definitely happy they did. The first teaser image we received was great but all we really had was his face and that’s fine. While still creepy, it wasn’t a whole lot to go on. Now we have the full look of Pennywise and it is without a single shred of doubt in my mind the best version of Pennywise the Dancing Clown I have ever seen. In conclusion, I will say that due to this image I will probably have nightmares for a little while. And even more so after seeing the film when it final releases next year.
From what I’ve gathered about Bill Skarsgård I’m not sure if he will be just as good if not better than Tim Currey in regards to his performance as Pennywise. However, in regards to his appearance, he puts Tim Currey to shame. Because this is absolutely terrifying. Therefore, I have a good feeling about Bill Skarsgård and I hope he lives up to it.

Hey guys, Matt here –
I have been working all day and haven’t been able to keep up with SDCC as much as i’d like, but when I checked in at lunch I got a couple great surprises with the Wonder Woman trailer and Justice League footage. I’ve got to say that they both look good, but Justice League has me pumped! Check them out here!

Justice League Footage:
Tells us what you think! The comments in the GOTR chat are kind of split, with some liking Wonder Woman more than Justice League, but I really want to see the team in action.
Later today? The CW DC shows!
Hey there folks I really wish I had some good news for you today but sadly I do not. Not too long ago I found out that Anton Yelchin has passed away due to a freak accident. Yelchin was discovered pinned between his car and a brick pillar at around 1:00 AM Sunday morning. Yelchin’s friends grew concerned after he failed to show up for rehearsal.
I will admit, I’ve only ever seen him in the Star Trek movies and maybe one other movie called Fright Night. And Fright Night isn’t the best example of how good of an actor he is. However from his performance in Star Trek alone he had talent that sadly will no longer be able to reach it’s fullest potential. As soon as I’m done here I think I’m going to do a Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness double feature. I might even check out some of his other work as well because I’d like to see the type of work that actor has done aside from the more well known projects he’s done.
This sucks, this really sucks. I considered myself to be a fan of his. This may have been an accident but that doesn’t make this any less tragic. I can’t even begin to imagine what his family is going through. So myself and the rest of the GotR crew give our deepest condolences to the Yelchin family. We are very sorry for your loss.
Too many great actors have died recently. Some of the deaths could have been avoided, others not so much. Myself and everyone else here at Geeks of the Round will miss him greatly. I’d like to thank everyone for reading and I’ll see you all at the next article.
The first Doctor Strange trailer released during tonight’s The Jimmy Kimmel Show and it looks interesting. The video shown seems to revolve purely around how Doctor Strange becomes the Sorcerer Supreme with no hint as to who the villain might be. Could the villain be part of the origin story itself? Check out the trailer for yourself:
So what do you think? It does not seem as exciting and action packed as the other Marvel movies, but it does look we will get a lot of character development for one of the most layered characters in the Marvel Universe. Let us know what you think of the trailer and your expectations for the movie in the comments below!
Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch and will release in theaters November 4th, 2016.
Yeah, you read that right. For the first time after the announcement that our favorite wall crawler was joining the MCU, we finally get to see it for ourselves. I’m not even going to spend much time talking about it; see it for yourself!
Excited yet? You can bet the the staff here at Geeks of the Round will absolutely be in a theater on May 6th, 2016 to see this story unfold. How about you? Let us know in the comments!
