Hey there folks, I’m back with yet another article and this time I’m here to bring you the first full trailer for the upcoming movie Warcraft which is based off of the very popular video game franchise of the same name. Just to be clear this is not based off of the events of the current game World of Warcraft, it is based off of the lore that has been established over the course of the games prior to World of Warcraft. So without further ado, here is the trailer of Warcraft, for your viewing pleasure.
After watching that I must admit that it looks really freaking good. Although there were a few bit of the trailer that seemed a bit off, perhaps a bit too cartoony. I’m trying to not let that ruin my excitement but you can’t really deny that there are a few moments in the trailer that seemed odd. Don’t get me wrong, I am going to see this movie and I am hopeful for this movie to finally break the dreaded video game movie curse, but at the same time I can’t just bury my head in the metaphorical sand. I’ll admit it, despite this trailer looking really cool, I am worried. However this is only the first trailer and I can’t really dismiss something that may actually turn out great. So with all that being said, I am excited for Warcraft and I will go into this with an open mind, but if things turn out not so well for Warcraft I will not turn a blind eye to it. Warcraft has a big job ahead of it, most video game movies in the past have been failures, so in order for Warcraft to break that curse they’ll have to do something that’s never been done before, and that is for them to tread very carefully. All and all I am hopeful for this movie and I am definitely looking forward to it, but at the same time I am always very cautious towards Warcraft. Duncan Jones, this is your chance to prove that successful video game movies can happen, don’t fuck this up.

That’s right folks the final trailer for Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens has been released and I’m going to say it, I’m crying. I am literally experiencing full blown tears of joys. You can see the trailer for yourself and see if it’ll bring you to tears. Enjoy!
I don’t believe I’ve said this before here on the site (and it also tends to annoy my boss, but screw him IT’S STAR WARS!!!) but the only words I have to say about what I just saw is HOLY MOTHER OF CRAP!!!!!! Seriously! Seriously dude! Ho-lee Crap! I am completely dumbfounded! A man once said “In J.J. We Trust”, and that man was my favorite Star Wars youtuber called HelloGreedo and the video where he said said quote can be found here and part two of that video can be found here. The words “In J.J. We Trust” were created by HelloGreedo to show that Star Wars fans had faith in Mr. Abrams while he worked on Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is slated to be released on December 18th of this year. They were and are willing to go into that theater with an optimistic view of the film and from what we have seen from this newest trailer shows us that that faith has not been misplaced. Mr. J.J. Abrams, I do trust you and I look forward to seeing The Force Awakens on the very day it’s released. Not only do I have faith in J.J. Abrams, I now have faith in the entire future on the Star Wars universe.
At this point I think it’s fairly obvious that all my lovely readers will be at their local theater on day 1, and we here at Geeks of the Round sincerely hope you enjoy it. As for the trailer, what did you think of it? Did you love it? Hate it? Don’t care? Let us know in the comments, we love to hear your thoughts about topics we cover here at the site, so we definitely want to know what you think about the final Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens trailer. So on that note I bring this article to close and I want to thank you for reading it and I’ll see you at the next one, bye bye.
That’s right folks, I’m back with yet another article for your reading pleasure. This time I’ll be giving my thoughts on the trailer and info we currently have on the upcoming expansion Horizons for the popular online space simulator Elite: Dangerous created by Frontier Developments. Now keep in mind that I have not played Elite: Dangerous due to the game’s controls for mouse and keyboard are extremely confusing to me and so I’ve been waiting until I could get my hands on a HOTAS (Hand on Throttle and Stick). Despite not playing the game, I still have an extremely high interest in the future of Elite: Dangerous and that’s not going to stop me from talking about it. So before I get into the meat of my thoughts I’ll show you the first teaser for Elite: Dangerous – Horizons, enjoy.
Yeah, I know that isn’t much to go on especially since it is a “teaser”, but you have to admit that what we’ll get with Horizons could be huge and it gives me great hope for the future of Elite: Dangerous.
Now at the current moment we don’t have a whole lot of information. The information we do have (at least the information I could find) is that we will not have the ability to explore every type of planet, only rocky and uninhabited planets. I also believe it is limited to planets that have a minimal to no atmosphere. Personally I’m fine with that, I can definitely see that Frontier Developments is taking baby steps and I think they should. Elite: Dangerous may be available right now but Frontier Developments still shouldn’t rush its continued development. Regardless, I’m very pleased with the direction of Elite: Dangerous and I am definitely looking forward to what comes after the Horizons expansion.
So now that’s you’ve seen the teaser for Horizons, what do you think? Do you have any theories as to what will come next? Have you been playing Elite: Dangerous? Let us know in the comments. And be sure to check out our YouTube channel and take a gander at our various discussion vidcasts. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you at the next article, bye bye.
Greetings Folks, I’m back with another article and this time around I’ll be showing you some new footage from the game Star Citizen that was shown at CitizenCon 2015. I know I know, you’re probably wondering why I should care about Star Citizen, you’re probably thinking “this game has been in development for years, it’ll never be released”. Well I’m going to tell you right now, I have been following this game since it was announced back in 2012 and I understand the development process for this game, this game is easily the most ambitious game ever developed and I firmly believe that it should not be rushed. Chris Roberts and the team at Cloud Imperium Games have been taking things slow with this game and with the following footage it seems that the “slow and steady wins the race” stance seems to have paid off. After watching the footage I must say this game looks absolutely beautiful, stunningly so. Believe me, I am tempted to say “I cannot wait to play this game” but by saying that implies that I would be willing to play the game before it is ready, and I’m not. So I’ll take a deep breath and calm my nerves, and I’ll suggest you do the same because you’re in for a wild ride. So without further ado here’s the new Star Citizen footage shown at CitizenCon 2015.
Looks good doesn’t it? It’s not the only video (and I will show the others below) but I wanted to say that in the footage you’ll see that characters (for the most part) are completely motion captured and I am completely ecstatic about that. However the animations did seem a bit wonky in some places but since Star Citizen is still in development I’m willing to let that slide, you can’t expect it to be perfect even when it’s still in it’s early stages. Regardless from this video alone the game looks absolutely stunningly. One last thing, the video you just say was not online footage, it was footage from Squadron 42, the single player module for Star Citizen. And if you think that looks good, just wait until you see the following videos.
The video you just saw was footage of the persistent online universe as well as a bit of the FPS module which has been named “Star Marine“. And just like with the first video I showed you the game definitely looks promising. Now I only have one more video to show you but you can find more at this helpful reddit thread. The final video I will provide for you shows off a new feature on the Star Citizen site that’s called the Star Map, an interesting and dynamic feature that shows off the entire Star Citizen universe, our universe. Check it out below.
Well that about covers it folks, Star Citizen definitely has promise and keeps getting better with every update despite what the naysayers say. So are you as excited for Star Citizen as I am? Do you think it’s going to fail despite the progress we’ve seen? Is Star Citizen a game you’re not particularly interested in? Let us know in the comments, we value the opinions of our readers. Be sure to also check out our various discussion vidcasts on our YouTube channel, we’ve just started the new fall season. So on that note folks I bring this article to a close, thanks for reading and I’ll see you at the next article, bye bye.
Well hello everyone, I’m back with another article and this time I’ll be showing off the first official poster for the second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter. And it’s pretty damn cool, you can check it out below.
Yup, that’s right. It looks like Peggy is headed to Los Angeles. And a according to Entertainment Weekly it seems L.A. will become her new base of operations while she works on her most dangerous assignment yet. I have provided the quote from Entertainment Weekly for your reading pleasure below.
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
So? What do you think? Are you intrigued that Marvel’s Agent Carter is moving to Los Angeles? I sure as hell am. I loved season one of Marvel’s Agent Carter and I can guarantee you that I am definitely looking forward to the new season. The new season of Marvel’s Agent Carter airs on ABC in early 2016 (most likely during the hiatus of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
