Take A Gander At The First Full Look Of Pennywise

That’s right folks. You read the title correctly. We now have the first full official look at Pennywise the Dancing Clown. This is literally the stuff of nightmares. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not usually scared of clowns. I just don’t like them. I think they’re stupid and childish. But this is just too much. I’m probably going to sleep with the lights on tonight. Haha. Now enough of my rambling. Take a gander at the image for yourself.

The image above was released this morning by Entertainment Weekly and us here at Geeks of the Round are definitely happy they did. The first teaser image we received was great but all we really had was his face and that’s fine. While still creepy, it wasn’t a whole lot to go on. Now we have the full look of Pennywise and it is without a single shred of doubt in my mind the best version of Pennywise the Dancing Clown I have ever seen. In conclusion, I will say that due to this image I will probably have nightmares for a little while. And even more so after seeing the film when it final releases next year.

From what I’ve gathered about Bill Skarsgård I’m not sure if he will be just as good if not better than Tim Currey in regards to his performance as Pennywise. However, in regards to his appearance, he puts Tim Currey to shame. Because this is absolutely terrifying. Therefore, I have a good feeling about Bill Skarsgård and I hope he lives up to it.

Fallout 4 DLC Nuka World Gets A Gameplay Trailer

Greetings folks! It’s your friendly neighborhood GotR site contributor. Today I have a trailer to show you for the final DLC for the popular game Fallout 4, Nuka World. It’s a pretty basic gameplay trailer but it seems fairly interesting to me. Check it out for yourself below.

After watching that myself It feels kinda creepy. Whether that’s a good thing or bad has yet to be determined. As for what we’re getting in the new DLC, it appears to be some new settlement/crafting features and items. Some new weapons (obviously). And it looks like it might be in the main Commonwealth zone. All in all this DLC looks pretty cool. Although it does feel more like a gimmick. Here’s hoping it has an interesting story to it. Although it appears to be pretty simple in regards to its narrative.

I’ll admit that most of the DLC for Fallout 4 have been okay at best. Save for Far Harbor of course. Nuka World does look promising but I don’t want to get my hopes up too high. I elect that we just wait and see how Nuka World turns out. We all now what happens when we get overhyped on something and end up being disappointed when it came for its time to shine. I know it’s Bethesda and I know it’ll have issues but what really matters is its content and I’m afraid it’ll be similar to the mediocrity that was Automatron. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.

So what did you think of the gameplay trailer for Fallout 4’s final DLC Nuka World? Did you love it? Hate it? Don’t really care? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to know what you have to say. Star Trek Actor Anton Yelchin Dead At 27

Hey there folks I really wish I had some good news for you today but sadly I do not. Not too long ago I found out that Anton Yelchin has passed away due to a freak accident. Yelchin was discovered pinned between his car and a brick pillar at around 1:00 AM Sunday morning. Yelchin’s friends grew concerned after he failed to show up for rehearsal.

I will admit, I’ve only ever seen him in the Star Trek movies and maybe one other movie called Fright Night. And Fright Night isn’t the best example of how good of an actor he is. However from his performance in Star Trek alone he had talent that sadly will no longer be able to reach it’s fullest potential. As soon as I’m done here I think I’m going to do a Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness double feature. I might even check out some of his other work as well because I’d like to see the type of work that actor has done aside from the more well known projects he’s done.

This sucks, this really sucks. I considered myself to be a fan of his. This may have been an accident but that doesn’t make this any less tragic. I can’t even begin to imagine what his family is going through. So myself and the rest of the GotR crew give our deepest condolences to the Yelchin family. We are very sorry for your loss.

Anton Yelchin 1989 - 2016

Too many great actors have died recently. Some of the deaths could have been avoided, others not so much. Myself and everyone else here at Geeks of the Round will miss him greatly. I’d like to thank everyone for reading and I’ll see you all at the next article.

The Trailer For Fallout 4’s Automatron DLC Has Released And It’s Awesome

Hey there folks it’s been a while, did you miss me? I’m sure you did and I apologize for being away for so long but now I’m back to bring you the freaking sweet trailer for the first DLC for Fallout 4, Automatron. You can check it out below.

Looks interesting doesn’t it? At this point in the game all we know is that this first piece of DLC will involve a certain character from a certain third installment of a certain fan-favorite post-apocalyptic franchise. Too much? Perhaps but I thought it was witty and that’s all that counts. From what we’ve seen in that trailer Bethesda Game Studios seems to be adding new and interesting features to the core mechanics of the game and I could not be more excited. When Fallout 4 launched it was great but after beating the game I didn’t feel much need to play it a second time. Automatron might be the DLC we need to give Fallout 4 another go.

And that my friends is the end of yet another article and I’ll do my absolute best to keep bringing the lot of you some more kick ass articles for you to feast your eye’s upon. So what did you think of the first official trailer of Fallout 4’s Automatron DLC? Did you love it? Hate it? Don’t care? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear what you have to say. Charles’ Two Cents: A Spoiler Free Review of Star Wars – The Force Awakens

Greetings folks it’s been a while but I’m back with a review for the amazing film Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens. And keep in mind that I will be avoiding spoilers in this review because I think all my amazing readers need to see this movie for themselves. So no spoilers. First off let me just say this movie has done it, Star Wars is great again. It’s not as good as the original trilogy, but definitely better than the prequel trilogy. The Force Awakens is the start of a whole new trilogy that has a strong chance to turn Star Wars back into a force to be reckoned with, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

Now let’s talk about what made Star Wars – The Force Awakens great, the characters. First we have Finn (played by Jon Boyega).

Finn is exactly what you expected him to be, a stormtrooper that was forced to run away due to being ordered to commit horrible acts. He was the kind of guy that started out naive but the longer he was with The First Order the more he realized who they really were, so he left. Jon Boyega was great as Finn and despite my description about him he has quite a bit more depth than that. He had great chemistry with the rest of the cast and to be honest I was really impressed with his performance. I have never seen any of his other work but I’ve heard that he was amazing in Attack The Block. Overall Jon Boyega was amazing in The Force Awakens and I can’t wait to see how his character grows in the following sequels.

Now we have the character that came out of nowhere, Rey (played by Daisy Ridley)

I’ll just come out and say it, Daisy Ridley is the star of the whole damn movie. Her performance was damn impressive for an actress that literally has nothing on her resume… yet. That’s right, The Force Awakens is her first ever movie and Holy Mother of Crap!!! Was she good in the role. The woman is extremely talented and I know for a fact that she has one helluva strong and successful career ahead of her. Now as for her character Rey, she’s the “Luke Skywalker” of this new trilogy, not really much of a spoiler but yeah, this trilogy is about her and how she grows into the hero. And I say J. J. Abrams couldn’t have picked a better actress for the role.

And let’s not forget Poe Dameron (played by Oscar Issac)

Here we are, the bad ass of The Force Awakens. Don’t get me wrong, Finn and Rey are both bad asses in their own right but Poe Dameron is the type of hero that’s filled with a whole new level of badassery. Poe Dameron is set up as an ace pilot of the Resistance, a group that’s fighting The First Order. And with the attempt to avoid spoilers all I’m going to say about the character is that by the time you’re done with the movie, you will love this guy. Now as for Oscar Issac, well I don’t know much about him. I’ve heard that he was awesome in the film Ex Machina but I never saw it. After seeing him in The Force Awakens though I am seriously considering checking out his other work.

And now we have Darth Douchebag… err… I mean Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver).

Kylo Ren is pretty much the villain of this movie, perhaps even the whole trilogy. However he also has quite an interesting story as well, but I won’t get into that for the sake of spoilers. So if you want to know more, then I highly recommend that you check out the movie and see for yourself. Now as for the actor, Adam Driver is in every essence of the word “Unknown”. Well at least he is to me. Before The Force Awakens I have never heard of Adam Driver so I have no idea how he is in his other work, but I can say that he was a great villain for The Force Awakens and I hope that we’ll explore his backstory further in the sequels, and I’m sure we will.

And finally we have the original cast, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa Solo (played by Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher)

Having these three in The Force Awakens was like getting hit with a wave of nostalgia that literally brought me to tears. I was completely speechless, I felt like a kid again all those years ago watching the original trilogy for the first time. It was especially fantastic that see the original cast passing the touch to the new cast, it gives me a new sense of hope for the future of this new trilogy. I’m fully aware that they all won’t be back for the entire trilogy but it was enough to see them all in The Force Awakens. I completely understand that this new trilogy is not about the original cast but about the new cast and I fully support that.

And now it’s time to bring this article to a close. Do you agree with my thoughts on Star Wars – The Force Awakens? Disagree? Don’t really care? And for those of my readers that haven’t seen The Force Awakens I have only one question, what the hell are you doing here?!
