AMC and Hulu Reach A Streaming Deal For New Shows

Announced earlier today, AMC Networks and Hulu have reached a deal to stream all new (That’s a key word; we’ll come back to that later) scripted shows from all the networks under their banner, including AMC, IFC, BCC America, SundanceTV, and WE tv.  This was a part of several announcements Hulu made today at the Hulu Upfront Presentation in New York City.  Among the new shows coming to Hulu via this deal is the upcoming spin-off series, Fear the Walking Dead.

AMCHulu

Via a post on the Hulu Blog, the company said the following:

“Through the deal, Hulu will – over time – become the SVOD home to a diverse and comprehensive collection of AMC Networks Inc.-produced content. Hulu will also become the streaming home for a significant number of films from the IFC Films collection. Full seasons of future series produced by AMC Networks will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu following their network season runs.”

Y’all caught the caveat, right?  I told you that “new” was the key word in this announcement; this news does not apply to any show already on AMC.  So shows like the original The Walking Dead, Mad Man, Better Call Saul, and Breaking Bad aren’t a part of it – those will stay on Netflix.

Still, this is fantastic news for cord-cutters like Yours Truly.  The more shows that are easier to watch from my PlayStation 4, the happier I’ll be!  What are your thoughts on this news?  Let us know in the comments!

Oh, and also announced was that Seinfeld is coming to Hulu.  If that’s your thing. 😉

Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer Gets Us All Excited

“You will bring death to all that follow you”

The newest Batman: Arkham Knight trailer gives us a much better look at some of the things that are added to this game that we haven’t seen before.
Things like:

  • Fighting alongside the Bat family.
  • Fighting AS the Bat family in the main storyline.
  • Oracle as more than just a pretty face.
  • The Batmobile and Batplane interlocking into one vehicle.
  • Azrael!

I really am looking forward to getting this game when it comes out and I absolutely am buying it for the PS4. The DLC season pass though? No matter how nice they make it sound, twice bitten, thrice shy as it were..

So what do you think of the new trailer? Will it help you get over the “meh” that was Batman: Arkham Origins? Do you plan to purchase this on release day (June 23rd) or even preorder? Let us know down below!

May’s PlayStation Plus Line-Up Revealed (May 2015)

With last month’s line up not really doing it for me, I was hoping to see better this month.  While this line-up still doesn’t excite me, there’s a few things I’ll be paying attention to.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is a pretty good game; played around with it on PS3 (or rather, on PS4 via PlayStation Now) and it seemed like something worth exploring further.  While I’ve never put hands on The Unfinished Swan before, it was a critical hit so it should be cool to check that out as well.  Not sure about Ether One, Race the Sun, or Hohokum though.  Think I’ll probably wait for reviews to give me an idea about whether I should bother.

Excited about this line-up, or upset because there’s no AAA games included?  What will you be playing in this collection?  Let us know in the comments!
